I love to see a field full of sheep and lambs, or to see mountain sheep climbing the steep rocks in the Cork and Kerry hills. It amazes me how they can balance on some of the steep slopes. There are some hardy sheep breeds to be found there. Really enjoyed this post.

Hi Andrea, Tea is more than a wake up drink, a reason to chat really. Hope your work at hotelsireland.com goes smoothly, if you want a typical irish thing than a hot whiskey might be the thing, best cure for a summer cold.

Hi George, too bad the Boston Irish festival just ended, could have used another “Name” performer. I passed on your name to my daughter (Ivy Leaf band, Boston) who works for the place but alas as with most non profit org. since she knows music , she was in charge of vendors. From reading your website I thought you were based out of NYC but you must be back home now. Who knows maybe an Irish folk festival is just what Boston needs. Thanks for taking the time and checking in.

Hmmm, good question…after over 5 years of living here in Ireland, I still don’t do tea. Need my cup of coffee in the morning! I absolutely love Jameson Whiskey. Oh, and Baby Guinness – not sure if this is a typical Irish thing though???

Thanks for the lovely write up , glad ya think so highly of me lol , would love to come to boston , lived in nyc for a spell but never made it up , got a great write up in the boston irish reporter when i released my album out there , pull some strings and get me over haha .

Hi Aimee, There are times when you stand in a field or meadow or look over the sea, that you literally transport your soul back through the generations, when this happens it is perfection. Every side of Ireland has it’s perfect moments, many of those moments are perfect by their utter imperfections, but there is definitely a feel you get that takes you, and holds onto you.

Billy, Thanks for dropping by and next time i’m in Dublin on a Sunday night I’m sure to do the same. Sounds like a good recommend for anyone in Dublin on a Sunday night who wants to have a bit of fun. I’ll have to look around youtube to see if there are any Ha’Penny Head videos floating around. Why does the song Dublin Rambler keep playing in my head?

I’ve enjoyed looking through your posts and I’d just like to invite you next time you’re in Dublin to pop into The Ha’Penny Bridge Inn on a Sunday night.
I play with my band The Ha’Penny Heads a load of Folk and Ballads with Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, Fiddle and Harmonica. The Punters all join in and Atmosphere is Electric. It’s really old school with Locals and Tourists. Judging by your website I know you’d love it.

I think my perfect trip to Ireland would be to visit the county of my ancestors. I want to walk where they walked and live (temporarily) where they lived. It would also be fun to see some of the main sites in that county as well, but mostly I just want to set foot where my family came from and soak it all in.
